The DfT has awarded councils the first £185m from the Government’s new National Productivity Investment Fund.
The fund was announced by the Chancellor Philip Hammond in his autumn statement last November (LTT 25 Nov 16).
The DfT is allocating the £185m in 2017/18 to local authorities outside London on a formula basis.
