Two apprentices have been appointed by Sustrans to help restore a cycling and walking route in Cumbria. The sustainable transport charity Sustrans has appointed Todd Dixon from Whitehaven and Connor O’Neill from Maryport, who are both 18, to work on the new project, which is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

They will work on the Track of the Ironmasters path, which is on the Sea to Sea cycle and walking route from Whitehaven to Tynemouth.
