West Midlands revises public transport investment priorities

West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has approved a revised list of public transport investments forming a £1.25bn ‘HS2 Connectivity Package’.

The Combined Authority’s original package featured 20 public transport projects with an estimated cost of £938m. This included extensions to the  Midland Metro, six heavy rail schemes, and 12 Sprint bus rapid transit routes.
