A huge rise in the number of parking charge notices (PCNs) issued by private parking management companies has been revealed in data released by the RAC Foundation.
In 2016/17 the companies obtained 4.71 million vehicle keeper records from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) – an increase of 1.04 million (28%) on 2015/16. The DVLA charges £2.50 per record.
