Upgrade for Leeds riverside cycle path destroyed in floods

Patrick McDonnell
01 August 2017

A riverside cycle route in Leeds that was damaged by flooding in 2015 has been repaired and improved by sustainable transport charity Sustrans. The new path, linking the Royal Armouries and Liberty Dock student accommodation, is now wider, with a tarmac surface suitable for people on foot or bike.

The path will be managed by Leeds Community Foundation, with support from the Canal & River Trust and South Bank Leeds. Funding came from the Leeds Flood Appeal grant.
