Councils in England have been awarded £75m funding to refurbish bridges, improve junctions and boost flood defences, transport Minister Jesse Norman has announced today.

Nineteen projects will receive a share of government investment for essential road maintenance. Projects include junction improvements, repairs and resurfacing, flood resilience measures, bridge and viaduct refurbishment and improved drainage.
