Early air quality monitoring results from London’s first low emission bus zone are promising, London’s transport commissioner Mike Brown has reported. The zone on Putney High Street features seven bus routes operated by a fleet of 145 Euro VI buses. “Since the launch of the zones in March, there has been a sharp fall in excessive pollution, according to provisional monitoring results collected by Wandsworth Council,” Brown will tell TfL’s board next week....
