Transport for London plans to integrate the enforcement of its proposed HGV Safety Standard Permit (HSSP) scheme with the London Lorry Control Scheme (LLCS).
The HSSP’s purpose is to eliminate vehicles with poor visibility from London’s streets, reducing risk to cyclists and pedestrians.
Applying to all HGVs of 12 tonnes and above, it is due to come into operation in 2020.
All models of lorry will have a star rating, from zero (the worst visibility) to five (the best)....
