Transport for London has awarded six bus operators in the capital funding from a £500,000 fund to trial new road safety measures. Ideas include alarms to alert pedestrians to approaching buses, acceleration limiters, psychometric testing of drivers, and a joint project with the London Cycling Campaign to introduce road user champions in depots.
