Forget Bristol, DfT tells Welsh rail bidders

The DfT has said bidders for the 15-year Wales and Borders rail franchise must not propose any services to Bristol, despite the city’s proximity to South Wales. But transport secretary Chris Grayling told MPs last week that he looks forward to the franchise enhancing services to the city.
