Coventry reveals more details of Very Light Rail ambitions

Coventry City Council has given more details of its plans to pioneer Very Light Rail technology, in a report seeking £12.2m of funding for development work from the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).

The programme to develop lightweight rail vehicles and lightweight track is being promoted by Coventry City Council, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick, and  supported by Transport for the West Midlands.
