Highways England will release updated road design standards this year for use across the UK.
HE is updating the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), which it describes as the “cornerstone” for the delivery and management of motorway and all-purpose trunk roads across the UK.
HE says that, over time, the existing manual has become difficult to use due to the many revisions and variations in language and style.
