Road traffic has been on the rise since 2013

The proportion of trips made by private transport in London rose in 2016 for the first time since the 1990s, according to TfL’s annual Travel in London report. The share of trips made by public transport, walking and cycling dropped 0.5 per cent in 2016, from 62.6 per cent to 62.1 per cent.
