Councillors in York have endorsed plans for a bus-based Clean Air Zone in the city, with a target implementation date of 2020.
The council’s preferred option, which will now be consulted on with operators, is for a minimum mandatory requirement of Euro VI standard for buses crossing the city’s inner ring road.
