Transport for London must do more to improve motorcyclist safety, says a new report by the London Assembly’s transport committee.
In an update to its 2016 report on motorcyclist safety, the committee notes that 33 powered two wheeler (P2W) riders were killed, 648 seriously injured, and 4,574 suffered slight injuries on London’s roads in 2016.
Despite P2Ws accounting for just one per cent of journeys made in London, they make up 27 per cent of the capital’s road accident KSIs....
