The major Road Network (MRN) of the most important local authority roads could create confusion with the Primary Route Network (PRN), Wiltshire Council has said.

The PRN comprises roads between places of “traffic importance” across the UK. Primary routes are marked green on most road maps, as opposed to the more common red of an ordinary A road; and road signs for the PRN are green with white and yellow text.
