Popularity of contactless grows

Contactless payment cards and mobile devices now account for half of all pay-as-you-go journeys on Tube and rail in London, according to Transport for London. On buses and trams about 45 per cent of pay-as-you- go journeys are now being made using contactless. In all, about 17 million journeys a week on all modes are made by contactless payments. Contactless was introduced in London first on buses in  2012 and then to Tube and rail services in 2014. TfL signed a deal worth up to £15m...
