Construction has begun of the £225m Luton DART (Direct Air-Rail Transit) system connecting London Luton Airport with Luton Airport Parkway railway station. The cable-driven automated people mover, due to open in spring 2021, will cover the 1.3-mile route in four minutes, and operate at four-minute frequencies in peak times.
