The DfT is consulting on removing, changing or alternating 14 questions asked of households in the National Travel Survey (NTS).
The Department believes the current questionnaire is at the limit of acceptable length. “Without removing some questions we will not be able to add new questions to meet user need in developing areas of interest for transport, or we risk the survey becoming too long with the potential for the quality of responses being affected,” it explains.
