Set out rail priorities, MPs urge DfT

06 July 2018

The DfT should publish a set of priorities for rail infrastructure investment in each English region before the end of the year, the House of Commons transport committee has said. The committee also calls on the DfT to back a rolling programme of electrification. Rail minister Jo Johnson this week confirmed that the Midland Main Line would be electrified between Clay Cross (north of Derby) and Sheffield to cater for HS2 services.
