Midlands Connect has stressed that no decisions have yet been made on the nature of a proposed ‘strategic’ road around the west side of the West Midlands conurbation.
In a presentation to the West Midlands Combined Authority’s transport delivery committee, Midlands Connect said the Midlands motorway hub study had “demonstrated that improved strategic road connectivity to the west of Birmingham would benefit the operation of the M5 and M6”.
