The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority is to fund further development work on a £600m-£800m dualling of the A47 between Peterborough and Wisbech, in the expectation that Highways England will fund the project’s delivery.
The A47 trunk road is the main east-west route across the north of East Anglia, connecting the A1 at Peterborough to Wisbech, Kings Lynn, Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
