The City of London Corporation has given more detail of its plan to close some streets to vehicular traffic at lunchtimes when they are busy with pedestrians (LTT 16 Mar). A trial of ‘Lunchtime Streets’ will take place on St Mary Axe next summer. The City says the street has a “high density of pedestrians at lunch, together with complaints about traffic and a history of injuries”.
