Stagecoach has introduced electric buses on the park-and-ride route in Guildford, Surrey. The nine vehicles have a 150-mile range and will be powered by an innovative energy storage system installed at the operator’s Peasmarsh depot, which avoids the need for a time-consuming and costly upgrade to the electricity grid.
