The London Borough of Croydon is to roll-out more school streets schemes, which see streets around schools closed to unauthorised vehicles at the start and end of the school day. Councillor Stuart King, Croydon’s lead member for environment and transport, told colleagues that three pilot schemes implemented in 2017 had reduced the number of car trips by 254.
