We were unfairly blamed for station opening delay, says NR

An inquiry into why a new railway station in Warwickshire opened more than a year late has raised questions about how local authority-promoted rail projects are best delivered. 

Network Rail says it was unfairly blamed for the delay to opening the £13.2m station at Kenilworth. It says the “vast majority” of the delay was caused by “poor control and management of the contractor” by a third party.
