Transport for London has introduced revised contractual arrangements for all new senior staff in response to the recommendations of a review ordered by mayor Sadiq Khan.
The mayor was angered by TfL making more than £50m in severance payments in each of 2016/17 and 2017/18. This included salary in lieu of notice, one-off voluntary severance payments, and payments for annual leave not taken.
