The London Borough of Harrow has approved a one-year trial of Lime’s dockless ebike hire scheme, featuring 200 bikes. Lime already operates in the neighbouring boroughs of Ealing and Brent. Designated parking areas will be identified close to local amenities such as stations and shops, utilising existing cycle parking infrastructure wherever possible. “These areas would be replicated within the virtual mapping of the app operated by Lime so their users have clarity over where cycles can be safely left on the highway and which areas are prohibited,” said council officers. Users disobeying the parking rules could face charges or other sanctions by Lime.
