What is thought to be the first fatality of an e-scooter rider on Britain’s roads occurred last week in London.
A lorry collided with a woman riding an e-scooter in Battersea. Another e-scooter rider was seriously injured in an accident in Beckenham, south London.
E-scooters are an increasingly common sight on Britain’s streets, despite it being illegal to ride them on public roads and footways.
