The DfT is to contribute £150m towards the enhancement of, including the construction of five new lifts, eight escalators, and the widening of two platforms. Gatwick Airport and the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership are contributing £37m and £10m respectively to the project, which will be overseen by Network Rail and the DfT.
