Welsh Government wants zero emission bus fleet by 2028

All buses and taxis in Wales will be zero-emission by 2028, the Welsh Government has announced. It hopes that new funding sources will cut the costs of acquiring electric buses.

Wales currently has no electric, hydrogen or gas buses in routine service. The Welsh Government has not funded any equivalent to the green bus grants provided over many years by the DfT and the Scottish Government.
