New Prime Minister Boris Johnson has appointed  Grant Shapps (pictured) as secretary of state for transport. Shapps, the MP for Welwyn Hatfield, succeeds Chris Grayling who has left the Government. Two new ministers of state for transport have been appointed: Chris Heaton-Harris, the MP for Daventry, and George Freeman, the MP for Mid Norfolk. Paul Maynard, the MP for Blackpool North and Cleveleys, returns to the DfT as a parliamentary under secretary of state, a position he held from 2016...
