The London Borough of Croydon is planning to introduce emissions-based residents parking permits. From October the existing £80 flat charge should be replaced by a five band system based on carbon dioxide emissions: £6.50 for band 1 (zero emission); £65 for band 2 (1-75g CO2/km); £104 for band 3 (67-165g CO2/km); £146 for band 4 (166-225g CO2/km), and £300 (over 225g).
