Scots explore the practicality of Blue Badge LEZ exemption

The Scottish Government is exploring the practicality of giving Blue Badge holders an exemption from low emission zones (LEZs), but admits it may be too difficult to deliver.

All four of Scotland’s biggest cities are implementing LEZs. Glasgow’s was introduced at the end of last year. Initially covering buses only, it will be extended to all vehicles by the end of 2022. The Government has said Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee must implement LEZs by 2020.
