How to go green in the country with community run car clubs

Car clubs and electric cars are becoming commonplace in cities. But how can rural areas, where there are fewer alternatives to cars, ensure they are not left behind?

The car club in the remote rural town of Llanidloes, Powys, passed a milestone in June when it took delivery of its first electric car. Its journey to that point might provide inspiration for many other communities that don’t yet have a car club. Llanidloes has fewer than 3,000 inhabitants and is surrounded by rolling countryside.
