I was interested to see the combination of reports in the last issue concerning the DfT’s pipeline of rail projects and Transport for the South East’s consultation on a draft transport strategy. The latter document shows the Isle of Sheppey as being an area of deprivation amid a sea of prosperity. So I was disappointed that my idea of linking the railways on Sheppey and the Isle of Grain has not been considered in this raft of enhancements.
