Transport for London has finally signed the contract with the Riverlinx consortium to deliver the Silvertown Tunnel under the Thames in east London. The signing had been delayed by a legal challenge brought by the reserve bidder, Silver Thames Connect (STC). This is ongoing but STC consented to TfL’s court application to lift the suspension of the contract award. Silvertown Tunnel will link the Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks, relieving pressure on the adjacent Blackwall Tunnel....
