I would like to comment, please, on the issues that John Helm raised in his letter about climate change LTT 06 December.
John suggested that the UK makes up only one per cent of global emissions, and therefore we should not act now. I think that his conclusion is erroneous. We could, arbitrarily, divide global emissions into one per cent chunks.
