A light rail line or some other form of rail-based metro could be built between Glasgow Airport and Paisley Gilmour Street rail- way station as the first phase of a network for the conurbation.
The leaders of Glasgow City Council and Renfrewshire Council are understood to have reached agreement on building the airport link to Paisley, and exploring how the route is extended to Glasgow city centre.
