Local authorities in Greater Manchester want additional bus services in their areas if the conurbation’s mayor goes ahead with franchising. 

The requests feature in the responses from some of the ten metropolitan districts to Transport for Greater Manchester’s bus franchising consultation that ended earlier this month. 

Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham is expected to make a final decision on whether to introduce franchising in March, ahead of the next mayoral election...
