TfL’s air miles soar after Khan declares ‘climate emergency’

Staff at Transport for London recorded a big increase in their air miles travelled for work purposes in the year that London mayor Sadiq Khan declared a climate emergency.  

TfL staff flew 1,040,637 kilometres in the third quarter of 2019/20, 56 per cent more than the 665,995 kilometres recorded in the third quarter of 2018/19.
