The devolved administrations of the UK will all receive additional funding in 2020/21 as a result of last week’s Budget under the Barnett Formula that ensures spending increases in England are reflected in increased block grant payments. Scotland’s block grant will increase by over £640m before adjustments for tax devolution. The Welsh Government’s block grant will increase by over £360m before adjustments for tax devolution. The Northern Ireland Executive’s block grant will increase by over £210m.
