Highways England is preparing a tender for spatial planning advice from next year. Consultants will assess the traffic, safety and environmental implications for the Strategic Road Network of regional strategies, local development frameworks and planning applications. The contract will have six lots: East of England; Midlands; Yorkshire and North East; North West; South East; and the South West. The invitation to tender should be issued in May.
