People exposed to poor air quality may be more susceptible to severe symptoms of Covid-19 but the linkage has not been demonstrated, health experts have told the Government.
The Government asked the Air Quality Expert Group (AQEG) to report on how Covid-19 has affected air pollution and if there is evidence that the severity of Covid-19 symptoms is related to air pollution exposure. The AQEG referred the latter question to the Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants (COMEAP).
