Transport for London has appointed consultant Steer to provide governance and standards for the Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), the voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators. The existing FORS concessionaire contract, which is held by AECOM until January 2022, has been varied to remove governance tasks. Steer is responsible for facilitating governance groups to help set standards and acting as an independent adjudicator on certification, compliance and audit appeals. The contract is for five years with the option to extend for a further two. TfL will next month commence procurement of the new FORS concessionare contract covering Europe, Africa, Asia and Middle East from 2022.
