The Mayor of London has provided a loan to Zenobe Energy for the installation of charging infrastructure at a south London bus garage.
The charging infrastructure and a battery storage system will be installed at Abellio London’s garage in Walworth for use by 34 buses on the P5 and C10 routes.
The loan is being provided from the mayor’s Energy Efficiency Fund, which is managed by Amber Fund Management Limited.
This is MEEF’s first investment in the low carbon mobility sector. Eligible projects under this priority include electric vehicle charging, alternative fuel stations and hydrogen fuel cells. Further investments are likely over the coming months.
