Local authorities in southeast Scotland have proposed a £2.3m-£3.0m bid to the Scottish Government’s £10m Bus Priority Rapid Deployment Fund. The fund will pay for temporary measures to benefit buses while the Covid-19 restrictions remain in place. The councils’ proposed measures include bus lanes, bus stop relocations, and changes to traffic signal timings. Consultant Jacobs has assisted in drawing up the programme.
