Highways England and Network Rail have collaborated on new guidance to help local authorities and third party funders decide if a parkway rail station is an appropriate investment.
The guidance says parkway stations can “potentially support” the objectives of better access to urban areas; relieving the strategic road network; and the Government’s low carbon agenda.
