£7.4m for Scots low emission buses

The Scottish Government has awarded £7.4m for 41 buses in the first round of its Scottish Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme. 

Thirty-five of the vehicles are expected to be built in Scotland by Alexander Dennis Ltd. These will be for First Glasgow, Xplore Dundee and McGill’s Buses. 

The other two successful bidders were Orkney Islands Council and Ember Core Ltd.
