Shetlands trials lower speed limit

Shetland Islands Council is to trial lower speed limits as a way of supporting active travel on the A970 South Road on the south-western edge of Lerwick. Temporary traffic regulation orders will be used to lower the speed limit  on sections of the road from 60mph to 30, 40 and 50mph between Ackrigarth, Lerwick and the B9075 junction at Gulberwick.
